Cream ground slip-painted scholar’s mug, produced for the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria, 1897.

This mug is painted with the place-names Broseley and Benthall, and is presumed to have been produced 
as a gift for children attending local schools and churches.

Mark: Impressed SALOPIAN mark
Height: 80mm / 3.25in
Date: 1897 (Period 1 style painting)
