For comparison is this incised ware vase decorated by an accomplished decorator.
It features typical fern and grass decoration but, intriguingly, also shows a crescent moon, a six-pointed star and a spider – a unique combination not seen on any other piece. The moon and star decoration occurs on both of the 'Be Aware My Friend’ vases.
