The two known Francis Gibbons monogram marks on Salopian Art Pottery pieces. Gibbons was active at the Benthall Pottery Company c.1882–85.
Top: FG / 1882. This monogram appears on a tall vase decorated with cranes swooping over water. It also has an impressed SALOPIAN mark, and is the earliest dated example of this mark.
Bottom: FG monogram used on a hand-painted wall plaque decorated with a portrait of an unknown woman.
